New recycling technologies of demolished materials for sustainable finishes: the project of concrete reuse on site in Tres Cantos, Madrid

The work presented aims to analyse the feasibility of reusing concrete, once demolished from a building in Tres Cantos Madrid, manufacture finishing materials for buildings, as well design procedure. first phase consists bibliographic search on reuse materials, analysing techniques adopted so far and lines work. second related acquisition data production recycling Construction Demolition Waste (CDW) at European level. third study recycled aggregates resulting demolitions or landslides, their treatment process. fourth final development laboratory test plan evaluate varied exterior cement pavements with concrete demolition case building. There were many conclusions results project. granulometry fine fraction is suitable produce non-structural products, such finishes particular non-driveway outdoor flooring. In terms flexural compressive strength, mechanical behaviour mixes lower than that reference mixes. show slightly higher capillary absorption capacities mixes, value greater percentage used (a critical issue which can be resolved by pre-saturating material).
